Updates
[NEW] Elites
“Join the ranks of the world's best with our new game mode!
Qualify for Elites, collect tickets, compete in daily rounds on specific maps, earn Marks for victories, and climb the leaderboards. Prove your prowess in the Elites League, where champions are crowned and exclusive rewards await!”
Participation & Seasons
Only Animals with the Elite rank can participate in the Elite game mode
Rounds & Tickets
Every 14 days, a new season of the Elite League begins
Every day during the season, a round of play is available at a specific time for 1 hour based on your time zone. You can see when your round is available above the game mode button when the Elites game mode is selected
Each round features a selected map from the pool of available maps for play
You need a ticket for each race you participate in during a round
10 Tickets will be given on the first day of a new Elites season. Every day after that, players will get 5 new Tickets. Missing a day will not result in lost tickets
This means every qualified player gets 75 tickets in total each season, which they can use as they choose during the hour that the game mode is available in their time zone. This means players could take part in a few races every day or save up tickets to play more races on other days during the season
Tickets must be used within the season they are acquired. Any unused tickets will not carry over to the next season
Because of different time zones around the world, there are different timings for when rounds open and close depending on where you are
Leaderboards
After the first Elites race, Runners get placed in a Division. It consists of 50 Runners who compete on a Division Leaderboard for rewards.
Tokens and Runner Icons are rewarded to Runners based on who gets the most Marks at the end of an Elites season.
Additionally, the World Leaderboard showcases the best Runners from around the globe.
The World winner of an Elites season will receive a Runner Icon and a unique Podium Win Effect. In addition to this, the winner will be honored by having a unique “Reigning Champion” Animal Rank icon for a full season after they win. After this, the icon passes on to the next Champion.
Gameplay Improvements
“We have made improvements to our gameplay systems, as well as new visuals and sounds!”
Functionality
Force-based actions should now be much more reliable and effective if they affect someone moving toward you
Throwing should now be much more reliable and easier to effectively use when doing it against your velocity
To restrict them from being used as short-ranged Offensives, we made Traps now have a 0.33s arm time. Think before you place your Traps!
Equalizers will now stay on the Finish Line if a Runner runs through it with the Equalizer still targeting them, to avoid weird situations where it would hop to the next Runner just before it activates
Equalizers will now target the Finish Line if there are no Runners around or in front of the Runner using it, to avoid it punishing Runners behind
Visuals
Improved the look of the gore, increasing the amount of it, and made it more performant.
Enabled gore in the Performance Mode
Visuals should now much more reliably show up for all Runners who should see them
Sky Beam has gotten new VFX
Slow Grenade has gotten new VFX
All Traps now visualize their arming time
Magnet has gotten new VFX
Shields have gotten a new look
Heart Balloon has gotten a slightly updated look
Sounds
All Blades have gotten new sounds
Sky Beam has gotten new sounds
Updated Sound System. There are now spatial sounds. Try playing with headphones, to hear where Powerups are coming from!
Animals
Hippo
“We have done a flip and realized that reactive Passives are not fun. So we’re changing that Passives always should be something the Runner can act upon. Because of that, we are changing the only Passive that is reactive. Same name, same thematic, but new functionality.”

Powerups
[NEW] Global: Slow Storm
“Push a button that summons dark clouds in the sky! After a small delay it sends down a beam of slowing energy, making all targets move slower for the duration.”
Slow: 50%
Slow duration: 3s
[NEW] Equalizer: Slow Gate
“Call in space aid that quickly targets the leading Runner and after a delay opens up a gate of energy, slowing anyone that runs through it!”
Slow: 70%
Slow duration: 2.5s
Firecracker
“Firecracker has been underperforming compared to the other Offensives. We’re increasing the duration you stay dead, to make it a bit stronger.”
Death timer: 1.3s → 1.5s
Slow Grenade
“Slow Grenade is not in a good place at the moment, so we’re giving it a slight buff.”
Area duration: 0.1s → 0.6s
Orb Shield
“Orb Shield was just a better version of Hexa Shield, so we’re adjusting it accordingly.”
Top Speed: +20% → +10%
Acceleration: +20% → +50%
Sprite Shield
“Sprite Shield has been a bit on the weak side. So we’re upping its buff a fair bit.”
Acceleration: +60% → +100%
Punch Box
“Punch Box has been performing quite well for a while, so we’re nerfing it a bit.”
Push force: 25 → 20
Sky Beam
“With the changes to Sky Beam and the addition of Slow Gate, we’re adjusting the Beam slightly.”
The Sky Beam stays around a little while longer with more possibility to kill your opponents (or yourself)
Vortex Grasp
“After the buff it got a while back Vortex Grasp has been, along with Baseball Bat, outperforming the other Specials. So we’re adjusting it slightly to be easier to hit with while being less effective.”
Pull force: 25 → 20
Increased size of Hitbox slightly
Baseball Bat
“Baseball Bat is the most overperforming Special, so we’re giving it a slight nerf to its effectiveness and range.”
Push force: 25 → 22
Shortened the Hitbox slightly
The Bat now also targets friendly Runners, so now you have the ability to help out as well as obstruct. Think before you swack!
Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where the wrong game mode would be shown in the Post-Race
Fixed an issue where Defensives would be visible in Stealth
Fixed a bug where your highest-rated Duos Teams would not be visible in your Teams list
Fixed more issues on falling through the map problems
Fixes have been made to improve performance. Try playing without Performance Mode!
